Privacy Policy
Propellam Studios LLC ("we," "us," or "our") makes music apps — currently Tunerie, a music-practice app. This policy explains what information our apps collect, how it is used, and your choices. Tunerie is still in development; we will update this policy as needed before and after release.
The short version
You can use Tunerie's free tier without an account, and in that mode we collect no personal information at all — nothing is sent to or stored on our servers. Personal data only comes into play if you create a paid account, which exists to save and sync your practice progress across devices. We do not sell your data, we do not use third-party advertising, and we do not send your practice data to any analytics service.
Information we collect
- Free tier — nothing. No account, no email, no server-side data. What the app remembers lives only on your device and is not uploaded.
- Paid accounts (Basic and Premium). Creating an account requires an email address. We then store the practice data you create — such as your scheduler, practice journal, saved tunes, and (Premium) the skill estimates that drive adaptive practice — so it can sync across your devices.
- Crash diagnostics. We use Sentry, a third-party error-reporting service, to collect crash reports (the error, a stack trace, your app version, device model and OS version) so we can fix failures. Personal information is stripped before these reports are sent, and they are never used for advertising.
- Standard server logs. Like any web service, our infrastructure records basic request logs (your IP address and a timestamp), used only to operate and secure the service and retained only briefly.
How we use it
To provide the app, save and sync your practice data across your devices, respond to support requests, and diagnose and fix crashes. That is all — we do not profile you for advertising and do not sell or share your personal information.
Who we share it with
We rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — hosting, database, and authentication for account data.
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase status.
- Our payment / merchant-of-record provider — to take payment and handle applicable sales tax and VAT.
- Sentry — crash diagnostics (PII-scrubbed, as above).
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Where your data is stored
Account data is hosted in the United States. If you use our apps from outside the US — for example in the EU or UK — your data is transferred to and stored in the US under the Standard Contractual Clauses in our hosting provider's data-processing agreement.
How long we keep it
If you cancel or downgrade a paid account, we retain its data for 60 days (so it is restored if you resubscribe) and then permanently delete it. If you delete your account, its data is removed from our servers promptly. Deleted data may persist in routine backups for a short additional period before those backups age out.
Recordings
If you record yourself in the app, those recordings stay on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Children's privacy
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Creating an account requires you to be at least 13 (or older where your country sets a higher age for digital consent). Anyone can use the free tier, which collects no personal information at all.
Your choices and rights
Account holders can export their data and delete their account from within the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information; contact us to exercise them. Free-tier users have no account and no server-side data for us to produce or delete.
